Landgasthof Karolinenhohe in Lichtenfels

Dining room like in a school camp, waitress inappropriately dressed (T-shirt and leggings) Waiting time for the meal 1 1/2 hours although only 4 guests at the next table (same fate) bag sauce, red cabbage from the glass, atmosphere like in a former DDR restaurant. Has been our highlight of every vacation so far. Have not been there in the last 2 years and will remove this school camp from our list.

I ate half a carp, it was delicious but the price doesn't match, you charge 16.50 euros for a whole one and 15.50 euros for the half?

Although it was very busy, we got the food shortly. The food tasted very tasty and the price-performance ratio was also right. The conditions were very nice. The toilets are very clean, not modern but old-fashioned. All in all a very, very nice restaurant and hotel.

Mega delicious, nice service, great atmosphere ?

We are often to eat in the Karolinenhöhe. Food is home-style, very tasty and highly recommended. However, it is important to make a reservation. Unfortunately there is hardly a place left without it. Especially on Sundays. It's very nice to sit outside. However, there is no reservation here, which I personally find a shame. Especially as a driver you would like to run up spontaneously and have something to eat. Without a reservation this is absolutely impossible, especially outside. Maybe you should think about using a certain number of tables for reservations outside.

Went there for dinner this week. The cordon bleu was simply Sch ..... It was dripping with fryer fat. Simply inedible. And that for € 13.50. Where do the reviews with the Federal Honor Award come from? As a country inn I would have expected more. Just not to be recommended. Where does the saddle of venison come from? From local hunting? Were there a long time ago. Ahh the wholesale brought the open over there .. CC sends its regards. Not for me again in the future ... Otherwise, the location is perfect. But not with the food ☹️☹️☹️

We highly recommend the cheese spaetzle ... a feast for the palate ... the waitresses are all super friendly and very, very quick and attentive !! All in all definitely worth a visit

Great family run hotel! Room super clean and smelling good, with a balcony. Maintained top. Great breakfast with service for coffee and fried eggs with bacon etc. Gladly again!

Very good food! Country inn a few km outside Bad Lichtenfels. Very friendly, attentive and brisk waitresses. The rump steak could not have been better and the loin was perfect too. Prices are absolutely fine for this quality. The only minus: I missed the "Franconian impact" on the menu.

Very nice guest house with a sophisticated atmosphere. Lots of space and a beautiful winter garden. Outdoor seating (summer). Fine dining ?

Great for traditional cousin of the region. In- and outdoor serving areas. Sufficient parking.

Today we were here for lunch. Of course we had reserved! Everything was delicious and the portions generous. A mini complaint (= complain at a high level): the lamb was not quite optimal and lacked the seasoning. To emphasize is still the service: the was in a great mood. A wonderful ambience in the most beautiful spring weather rounded off everything.

Nice atmosphere. The stake was really good.
